this may or may not be current

The airframe will be made of an 8” diameter piece of cardboard concrete forming tube known as SonoTube.  Over this will be two layers of 6 oz fiberglass.  The nose cone will be cut from a foam plug built up from 2” rigid Styrofoam insulation.  Fins are going to be cut from 3/8” Baltic Birch plywood and may have a layer of fiberglass over them as well.

I hope to be able to get a hold of an Animal Motor Works M2200SK motor for the cert flight.

There will be at least one altimeter on board, a PerfectFlite MAWD.  Depending on finances there may also be an AED Electronics R-DAS Tiny on board.  I am also hoping to talk a rocket buddy into letting me fly his camera but he does not know that yet.

Do not know yet what will be required for parachutes but planning on drogueless at apogee and deploying the main at a lower altitude.

According to my simulation software with a very crude simulation of the rocket so far, numbers for the flight should be in the neighborhood of 8400-8500’ above ground level and 934 feet per second or 637 miles per hour.

With the cluster ability it will have, in the future, with the right motors I should be able to push it to over 30,000 feet!

But, that’ll likely never happen because of cost and not having a handy place to do that high a flight.
